How to repair and maintenance of automobile wheel hub bearing?
Hub bearing is an important part of automobile running.
Hub bearing is responsible for reducing the friction of the chassis and maintaining the normal running of the vehicle. If the wheel bearing out of the fault, may cause noise, bearing heat and other phenomena, especially the front wheel is more obvious, easy to lead to the direction of the direction of the dangerous phenomenon. Therefore, wheel bearings must be maintained on schedule.
1 wheel bearing inspection
(1) check the wheel hub bearing tight degrees. First of all, the automobile hub end of the wheel axle gap with a vehicle stool, mask wood and other appliances the safety car in a good frame of.
(2) the number of the wheel is rotated by hand to see if the rotation is stationary and if there is an abnormal noise. If rotation is not smooth and friction sound, that part of the brake is not normal; if there is no noise, rotation is not smooth and ebbed and flowed, indicating that part of the bearing is not normal. When the above abnormal phenomenon should be removed to check the wheel.
For small cars, check the wheel hub bearings, with both hands to hold the tire on the underside, his hands back and forth by pulling the tire, repeated many times. If the normal, there should be no loose and block feeling; if the swing has obvious loose feeling, should be dismantling the hub.
(3) inspection of brake. Usually in check the wheel hub bearing, attached to check the wheel brake device, if there are traces of oil inside the tire, is likely to brake pump or the brake oil pipe caused by oil spills, should be promptly identify the cause, be excluded.
2 wheel bearing maintenance
Disassemble the front wheel hub, should do maintenance hub of the preparatory work, will be parked car and build the bridge, to ensure safety of maintenance work.
(1) remove the wheel shaft of a decorative cover, dust cover;
(2) remove the tire and tire nut, screw bolt attention not to damage the tire. If the disc brake, the brake should be removed, and then used to remove the lock or lock ring clamp.
(3) remove the wheel hub with special tools;
(4) scrape off the bearing and shaft neck and hub cavity the old grease, cleaning agent cleaning wheel bearing and shaft neck and dried with a cloth, finally wiping with a cloth net hub cavity.
(5) check the wheel hub bearing and the bearing seat and found that there is the phenomenon of crack, fatigue spalling and roller bearing loose, should replace the bearings. If it is found that pitted the bearing rings, bearing should be replaced.
(6) to check the fit of the bearing inner diameter and shaft neck, the fit clearance shall not be greater than 0.1Omm and the measurement of the two parts of the upper and lower part of the vertical ground. If the clearance exceeds the prescribed limit, the bearing should be replaced, so that the matching gap can be recovered. Do not allow the burr, in shaft neck pits to narrow the gap.
(7) after all parts are in line with the requirements, the inner bearing grease is applied to the hub of the wheel.
(8) when the bearing chamber is coated with grease, the grease should be noted that the grease is squeezed into the bearing until the grease is out of the bearing. With a thin layer of grease in the hub cavity and the shaft head cover, which plays the role of anti rust. Note that the hub of the grease in the chamber is not too much, otherwise it will affect the heat dissipation and braking.
(9) the hub and bearing installed back on the shaft neck and hand the shaft adjusting nut screwed on and then using a wrench shaft according to the torque required to tighten the adjusting nut. Tighten the nut, be rotate the wheel hub laps, see bearing installation; on the other hand, by rotating the bearing and seat with correct. At this moment the bearing is appropriate, the wheel is free to rotate and can not feel the axial clearance.
(10) in the end, a lock plate, a fixed nut, a tire, a dust cover and a decorative cover are sequentially arranged.
